Macron and Italian club UC Sampdoria have unveiled the new second away jersey for the 2025-26 season. This jersey pays homage to Genoa's ancient port and the rich history that nurtured the distinctive "blue fabric," once again highlighting the close connection between football and fashion. Combining technical performance with elegant design, the jersey is equally striking on the pitch and in everyday wear.
The new jersey's design is inspired by the "blue cloth" originally used for ship's canvas sacks and later for sailors' durable work trousers. This famous "Blu di Genova" not only gave rise to the English term "blue jeans" (from the French bleu de Gênes), but also became the iconic denim blue. The jersey features a pure denim blue hue, accented by a lapel, three-button placket, and gold stitching. The signature "Blue Rings" (Blucerchiati) detailing is embellished on the cuffs, hem, shorts paneling, and socks.
